Tour of Maras, Moray & Salineras

On this tour, we will visit traditional Andean towns known for their colonial architecture and cultural heritage. We begin with a visit to the archaeological site of Moray, famous for its circular agricultural terraces that reach depths of up to 150 meters. According to historians, these structures functioned as an important Inca agricultural laboratory. The terraces were built with irrigation channels, and each level creates a distinct microclimate. One of the most notable features is the temperature variation between the upper and lower sections, which can differ by up to 15°C.

We will then continue to the colonial town of Maras, a community that preserves Andean traditions and customs. Here, you can observe its colonial-style architecture and stone doorways that reflect its historical importance. Finally, we will visit the Salineras de Maras, a complex of salt ponds that remain in operation today. Local families have extracted salt from these mines using traditional methods since pre-Hispanic times.

At the end of the tour, we will return to Cusco and transfer you to your hotel.
