Early in the morning, at the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and travel south toward the Collasuyo region, one of the four ancient regions of the Inca Empire (Tawantinsuyo). After approximately two hours (78 km), we will arrive at the community of Paucarpata (Cusipata), where you will have time to rest, purchase water or energy drinks if needed, and enjoy a buffet-style breakfast.
We will then continue by vehicle for about one more hour until reaching Phulawasipata base camp, the starting point of the hike. From here, we begin an ascent of approximately two hours (3.5 km). Along the trail, you will have views of the Hatun Ritti glacier (4,825 m), observe South American camelids such as alpacas and vicuñas, and appreciate the surrounding high-altitude landscapes, including the Puka Qocha and Qomer Qocha lagoons.
Upon arrival at Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca), you will have sufficient time to explore the area and take photographs. Afterward, we will descend for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes (3.5 km) back to base camp, where transportation will be waiting to return to Paucarpata for lunch. Finally, we will travel back to Cusco, arriving at approximately 6:00 p.m., and transfer you to your hotel.
